Clean Water Laboratory at Dalhousie University

The Clean Water Laboratory is a 4500 square foot state-of-the-art water quality analysis laboratory. The laboratory was inaugurated in 2010 with funding from Halifax Water and the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA). The Clean Water Laboratory has the capacity to evaluate the physical, chemical and microbiological properties of drinking water, waste water and industrial effluents. The pilot plant was commissioned in 2007, to help understand and ultimately optimize the current treatment practices at the J.D. Kline Water Treatment Plant.   The J.D. Kline Water Treatment Plant treats water from Pockwock Lake and serves peninsular Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.  The automated pilot plant was custom built by Intuitech (Utah, U.S.A.). Welcome to the Northern Water Quality Laboratory (NWQL) in Iqaluit, Nunavut

In 2011, Dalhousie University partnered with the Nunavut Research Institute and the Government of Nunavut to establish the Northern Water Quality Laboratory, the first water quality laboratory in Nunavut.  Equipment for this laboratory has been provided through contracts with both the Government of Nunavut and the Nunavut General Monitoring Plan.

Dalhousie Groundwater Lab

The Dalhousie Groundwater Lab is part of the Centre for Water Resources Studies and the Department of Civil and Resource Engineering at Dalhousie.
